Comedy rock star Gad El Maleh is making a comeback in Morocco. The comedian with inimitable gestures will play his last show titled «D’ailleurs», an intimate and jubilant show mixing stand-up and picturesque characters

After the theatrical release of his new film «Reste un peu» (Stay a Little Bit More), comedian Gad El Maleh arrives this time in the flesh in Morocco with his latest one-man show «D’ailleurs», a hilarious show as he is used to performing them, specially adapted for the public who saw him born fifty years ago. This unique show, the comedian’s sixth, will reconnect with the spirit of his cult sketches while bringing a welcome «uninhibited» touch. One will thus find there the inimitable gestures and the burlesque theatrical game of the comedian, as well as his delicious mania for making fun of the smallest little hassles of everyday life. This «back to basics» show will offer the public a new gallery of comical situations and will bring back old characters who have become famous, including the famous «Bryan», but not only that! « Gad, who is now in his fifties, has been on the road since his «Decalages» (Disconnects) show in the 1990s. He will tell you about his life as a father but, above all, his American adventure, English lessons, shows, and evenings surrounded by Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt”, say our sources. Being more uninhibited than ever and freed from his desire to please, the artist punctuates the set of juicy intimate revelations, including in particular the picturesque meeting of his mother with the Grimaldi royal family of Monaco or his alcoholism which he describes as «asymptomatic». “ This new show did not disappoint me. Stuffed with references to his old sketches, the humor is caustic ”, confides a spectator just after having seen the show. This show by Gad El Maleh marks his reunion with the Moroccan public, and for which the humorist did not hesitate to «personalize» his raves. Thus, as for each of his passages in the Kingdom, the comedian used his network of friends and acquaintances and learned about the news «in the air», to be able to punctuate his show with some Casablanca bonuses. « I ‘m all excited !» Playing in Casablanca is like playing at home, and it is incredible fun… I want to give it my all but it is also all the more stressful because I can’t disappoint my people from hometown, this audience that is dear to my heart and take with me to the four corners of the world «, admits Gad in a perfect mix of stress and excitement! A show that was “sold out” just hours after the ticket office opened on January 20. «Put on sale on tickets.ma last Friday early in the morning, the tickets were all sold out in just a few hours «, we were told. This rush is explained by the particularly low posted ticket rates, from 250 Dirhams (25 US$) per seat in Casablanca.

No less than five show dates are scheduled for Gad El Maleh ‘s new tour in Morocco. The comedian will thus perform on January 29 and 30 at the Studio des Arts Vivants in Casablanca, on January 31 at the Mohammed V Theater in Rabat, then on February 03 and 04 at the Palais des Congrès in Marrakech. Casablanca, where the comedian was born in 1971, will display lower prices for the occasion.

The sketch about WhatsApp groups already viral!

Played for two years across France, Gad El Maleh ‘s latest one-man show makes fun of the madness of WhatsApp groups . The hilarious sketch, recently broadcast on social media and in which the comedian wonders on the utilitarian side of those WhatsApp groups, quickly went viral. “ Who are these people overly involved in the education of their children?“, says the comedian, taking a surprised look with perfect control of his facial expressions.
